My interest in Mallorca began in 1969 when I first went there with my family for a holiday. Since then, I have returned many times and have come to love the place.

In these photographs, I have used the passageway as recurrent theme and metaphor in order to convey the movement of time on an island which by nature is spatially contained but culturally multilayered.
